If you know of a few activists who would like to speak for 3 minutes publicly about cannabis at this hearing, they are wanting your presence.
There is a hearing coming up on September 12th in Pacifica, located in San Mateo County. Below is an email made to Thomas, a member of East Bay ASA.
The City Council will be weighing the appeal of a dispensary owner who was closed down by the police after 25 days of supplying cannabis to patients.
Since there are no other dispensaries within 20 miles, and only one other in the county, this is a matter of safe access and therefore a great opportunity for someone from your group to make that case.
Obviously it would be best to have someone from San Mateo county, but anyone from ASA would be helpful.
The hearing is at the City Council Chambers located at 2212 Beach Boulevard in Pacifica, on the second floor. It starts at 6:30.
Each speaker gets 3 minutes to make their point to the city council.
